This was my first time making this recipe. The cake was actually gone in 2 days. I took some to work to share w/ friends. The kids had it for breakfast 2 days in a row. I had atleast 2 pieces. William took some to work w/ him. Everyone loved this coffee cake. I plan to make this recipe again. It did take time, there are alot of steps to make this cake but it was worth it. Very good taste/texture.

My Nephews Birthday
Kadens 8th Birthday! We went to Roller Land in Merced. I havent been there since the 80's(?). The skates they had were probably the same ones (from the 80's)--brown leather skates w/ the orange wheels. Each wheel was a different size so the skates didnt roll straight. William came away with a blister.
It was a really fun time. All of the kids skated and most of the adults. I would deffionately take my own skates if I went back But The kids loved it. Liam had been there for his school skate night so he was pretty good. This was Rileys 1st time. She held to the wall mostly I tried to hold hands but she wanted to be independent --towards the end we held hands and went around the rink a few times. Skating was a good workout --I could feel it in my legs! AND I'm proud to say I didnt fall once (I was a bit wobbly in the beginning though).
We all left there and went to Mikes for the cake part. Kaden seemed to have a nice time.

Tonights Dinner
Riley doesnt look too happy here..I usually give the kids their salad (or veggies) first. When they finish that they'll get the main course -- then the bread. Their pediatritian told me to do this 3 years ago(he'd asked me how they eat and I told him how picky they were).. They used to refuse the green food. They would gag and cry. William says I had them spoil them because I'd fix what they wanted..Now they eat what we eat and things are alot easier. They are much better now..
Tonight: salad, hamburger helper, bread
